House Updates!!!

Excuse the lack of furniture and the bare walls, we have painted and unpacked, but gradually getting things up on the walls, and gradually getting the new furniture we need!!! People have been asking for pictures, so here they are!!!!!
The picture above is the living room, as you can see, we still need tables and a TV stand, but those are our new Lazy Boy leather couch and recliner. They are so nice!!! and NO Guinness is not allowed up there, he tried the first day, but we figured out how to prevent that...put the recliners out while we are gone!!! haha!
This is the 2nd bathroom in the basement. We need to strip off the wallpaper, but that is gonna wait for now. Ryan and I would like to renovate both the bathrooms sometime, so that will be a project down the line.
This is the Non-finished part of the basement...it has tons of storage and Ryan is in heaven because he can put all his work stuff away in the closets and drawers that are built-in. It also goes back even more to the left, which you can't see in this picture.
With the news of our pregnancy, Ryan's office that he was so excited about had to be moved to the basement...LUCKILY, we have the room and I think it will be great...the basement LITERALLY is his man cave, work and play all in one!
This is the other part of the "man cave" we just got cable today just in time for the COLTS game!!!! Go Colts!!!!!!!
View of the finished part of the basement consisting of Ryan's "office" and the entertainment area. To the right there is the 2nd bathroom and a "BAR" area:)
This is the upstairs bathroom, we painted a pale yellow. (it was wallpaper and dark purple :( We both really want to renovate this bathroom as well, but that will have to wait for a bit...
Here is the BABY'S ROOM:) We painted it white b/c as you all remember this room was PURPLE and GREEN...not very pretty. We are going to wait to paint this room until we find out the sex of our baby :)
Here is the guest room:) We got a brand new queen size bed, so we are ready for visitors whenever!!!!!!! Just excuse the house right now, we are still in the process of it coming together, as you can see!!!!!
Here is our room. We are going to get a new bed frame and furniture as soon as we can! Our king bed actually fits pretty well, even though it looks small in this picture.
Last night we went to Leigh and Sherry's housewarming party and got to see thier first home in Chicago Ridge, IL. We had to leave early unfortunately because I got my first little wave of "morning sickness" so that was no fun :( Sorry Leigh, but I am glad I got to see your new place, it is soooooooooo nice!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait for our house to be complete so we can have one too!!!!! :)

we are OFFICIALLY homeowners!!!!!!!!

WOoooOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Just a quick update for you all!!! Ryan and I closed on our FIRST HOME today!!!!!!!!!!!!! Last week we were kinda biting our nails because they were taking so long to approve our loan (I guess with all the new rules and stuff with the housing crisis and foreclosures, they have REALLY cracked down and make it super hard to get a loan now...so they were checking EVERYTHING and even made us hand-write items to verify...it was crazy!) But alas, we got approved right on time, and closed right on time:) :) :) Ryan has been taking care of everything, and I am really grateful he took this on, because as most of you know, I freak out at the smallest thing, so it was nice to have him handle the "freak-out" stuff (i.e. everything:) and I could handle things like packing:) haha!
We have tons to do, so we might be MIA for a little bit, especially when we stop our internet. But I will upload pictures as soon as I can! -my camera cord is already packed!!!!!!!:( We are just thrilled and cannot wait to be fully moved in, which we are hoping by this FRIDAY:) Peace out ROGERS PARK :) HELLO NORTHBROOK:)

Ryan and I went home to Noblesville Christmas Eve and stayed until today. It was really nice to get to spend so much time with all our families. We were able to make it to ALL the Christmas celebrations with all our families/extended families so that was really nice. We also got to see some of our friends, but unfortunately not all of them!! :( All-in-all it was very nice and relaxing, but I am ready to get back to reality, and get all of this HOUSE business started and done with. We will keep you all updated on the progress with that, and I will definitely update with pictures of the house as it comes along! HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!!!!!
